Comparisons Anastasia claimant:
Anna Anderson (left 1925 and right 1937) and Anastasia (centre c1915) Alexei claimant:
Vasily Filatov 1939 and Tsarevich Alexei The children of Vasily Filatov:
Oleg Filatov 1998 and Emperor Nicholas II
Irina Filatova 1977 and Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna (sister of the Tsar)
Nadezhda Filatova 1982 and Empress Alexandra Vasily Filatov mid-1960s and Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna (sister of the Tsar) 1959 Another Alexei claimant:
Alexei Heino Tammet Romanov 1934 and Tsarevich Alexei So, what do you think? I am not sure about Anna Anderson's claim, but Vasily Filatov and his children bear a remarkable resemblance to many members of the Romanov family. In my opinion, Vasily Filatov presents more convicing physical evidence than Alexei Heino Tammet Romanov. You can read about the Tammet-Romanov story here. The author makes some valid points about Alexei's alleged heamophilia condition, but personally, I don't think Heino Tammet resembles the Tsarevich very much. Still, who knows? The story is far from over...... A list of books I have read on this subject will shortly be given below. All pictures pertaining to the Romanovs on my web site were scanned from these books, except Heino Tammet which came from the linked site above. |
